WordPress Plugin

The SiteAnswerAI WordPress plugin makes it easy to add your AI chatbot to any WordPress site. No coding required - just install, enter your Bot ID, and you're done.

Requirements

  • WordPress 5.0 or higher
  • PHP 7.4 or higher
  • A SiteAnswerAI account with at least one bot

Installation

Option 1: Install from WordPress Admin

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New
  3. Search for "SiteAnswerAI"
  4. Click Install Now
  5. After installation, click Activate

Option 2: Manual Upload

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file from your SiteAnswerAI dashboard
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
  3. Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now
  4. After installation, click Activate

Configuration

Step 1: Get Your Bot ID

  1. Log in to your SiteAnswerAI dashboard
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Find your Bot ID in the Embed Code section
  4. Copy the Bot ID (it looks like cmkms0wt5000...)

Step 2: Configure the Plugin

  1. In WordPress admin, go to Settings → SiteAnswerAI
  2. Paste your Bot ID in the Bot ID field
  3. Click Save Changes

WooCommerce Integration

If you're using WooCommerce, the plugin automatically works with your product pages. When you crawl your site, SiteAnswerAI will detect and index your products with full details including prices, descriptions, and availability.

Tip: Enable the WooCommerce toggle in your Sources settings to get product-aware responses. The bot will know about product names, prices, and stock status.

Verify Installation

  1. Visit your WordPress site in a new browser tab (or incognito mode)
  2. Look for the chat icon in the bottom corner
  3. Click it to open the chat window
  4. Send a test message

Troubleshooting

Widget not appearing?

  • Make sure the plugin is activated
  • Check that your Bot ID is entered correctly
  • Clear your WordPress cache (if using a caching plugin)
  • Check if the page is excluded in plugin settings

Conflicts with other plugins?

  • Disable other chat plugins temporarily
  • Check browser console for JavaScript errors
  • Try switching to a default WordPress theme to rule out theme conflicts
